Common questions

Do I find the engineer or does People EOR find them?
You find and select the engineer — through your own network, a recruiter, or job boards. People EOR does not recruit. Once you've made your decision, we handle the full onboarding: contract, PF, ESI, statutory benefits, hardware, and payroll.
Do I need to register a company in India first?
No. That's the whole point of EOR. People EOR is the registered legal entity in India. Your engineers are employed by us on your behalf. You don't need any India registration, local director, or Indian bank account to get started.
What statutory benefits are included?
All mandatory Indian statutory benefits are included: PF (Provident Fund — 12% employer contribution), ESI (health insurance — 3.25% employer contribution for eligible employees), Professional Tax (state-level), and gratuity administration. TDS is deducted and filed quarterly, with Form 16 issued annually. Everything required under Indian labour law is handled.
Who controls the engineer's work?
You do, entirely. People EOR is the employer on paper for legal and tax purposes only. You set the work, priorities, targets, and tools. We handle payroll and compliance behind the scenes.
What happens when I want my own Indian entity?
We handle the full transition — Pvt Ltd incorporation, RBI filing, GST, PF, ESI registration, and employee migration. Zero disruption to your team. This is what makes People EOR different — we're built to graduate you, not keep you trapped.
How do terminations work?
We handle the full offboarding — final settlement calculations, PF transfer, gratuity (if applicable), Form 16 issuance, relieving letter, and hardware recovery.
